Kobalt's Gen4 40 volt blower looks like a strong value for light yard cleanup, especially if you already use the 40 volt battery line. The 4.0 amp hour battery and charger make the $79 kit stand out, and the blower is described as plenty powerful for walkways, leaf pickup, and even car drying. It is also praised as quieter and far better than cheap 20 volt blowers. The main caution is battery life, since heavy use can drain it fast and may leave little warning before it hits empty. A solid fit when you want cordless convenience without gas blower size or noise.
The 80V kit with a 4Ah battery can deliver strong blowing power while staying lightweight and long-lasting.
The $79 battery-and-charger kit price can be justified because similar kits reportedly cost more than $79 on eBay.
The 40V blower can work well for light cleanup around walkways and may be quiet enough for that use case.
The Kobalt 40V system can be a strong add-on for existing Kobalt 40V owners, especially when multiple 4Ah batteries are available.
Kobalt Gen4 batteries can drain very quickly and may reach 0% without clear warning during use.
Charging the battery from 0% to 100% can be harmful to battery life, and the blower may not stop at the expected low-battery threshold.
Battery protection behavior may differ from claims about charging to 100% and discharging to 0%, which can make runtime expectations less straightforward.
The 40V option may not provide enough maximum power for heavily wooded yards compared with higher-output gas blowers.

The Kobalt just freaking lifts up everything within 6ft radius high into the air.
For a lowly 40v 120mph that's pretty good. This is why this is such a smoking deal.
This thing has probably 200x the power of Amazon noname blowers for only 2x the price
And it has a 5yr warranty. Amazon junk has none at all
Got 10% off Lowes gift cards from Doordash as well.
