Update, I tried the hack but ran into a problem where it wouldn't accept my credit card when entered AFTER deleting the other items to reduce my total order to just 2 items that were under the $10. I then tried using the paypal method and it that worked. So yes, after some trial and error, I was successful in buying two Axe AP for pick up under the $10 minimum.

Qualified for Free Pickup (over $10)
And... I had $1 WG Credit..

Use the workaround. Open Walgreens in two places — the app and the website (or two browser tabs), both logged into the same account. On one tab/app, add your under-$10 item, then add a filler item to push the cart over $10. Proceed all the way through checkout to the final confirmation step — but don't submit yet. 1) sign into your account.
2) add the item or items you want to buy.
3) add ANYTHING else to hit $10.
4) proceed to checkout where you are entering your card information.
5) copy and paste link to a new window (doesn't need to be incognito) or just duplicate window.
6) go BACK to delete the item you don't want in one window, go forward to confirm checkout after deleting in the other.
