Better spec'd than the Seiko with AR sapphire crystal, screw down crown (200m WR), marginally better quality bracelet, and no cyclops (subjective). Ratio is a slept on microbrand out of Singapore with more original diver design cues compared to Chinese homage companies at its price point.

If you don't need the Seiko name, Ratio makes basically the exact same watch for half this price at Amazon. https://a.co/d/07ncAWbP

I don't know anything about Ratio, but a Seiko movement, sapphire crystal, screw down crown, and positively reviewed stainless steel bracelet for $130 is certainly a good deal on paper.
I'm not familiar with the shop (greentoe), but sub $300 for the GMT Seiko 5 is a great price, especially in 2026. I have the orange colorway and love it - usually don't go for loud color dials but they just work on this model for some reason.
I bought the Srpl15 when it was on sale on greentoe months ago. Sure, the watch was mint but guess what? The watch had the misaligned bezel marker syndrome. I returned it. Unfortunately, it was the only one available after that sale.
Great price and great watch. SSKs have a great movement, GMT (which is pretty useless for me but I just like the way it looks), and the bracelet is really amazing. I have a blue and an orange SSK. I bought from Greentoe before and everything went fine.

You can find uses for a GMT hand. I set mine to UTC time so that when I look at server logs for work ( which are always in UTC time ) I can just glance down to see the time difference.
If you can't afford a Seiko, just get a Casio. Not some garbage Chinese knock off.
Seiko and Casio (Japanese based) are just as "Chinese" as Ratio (Singapore microbrand). Unfortunately, many watch companies in this price segment outsource their entry/mid products to China as a production cost saving measure. Seiko used to be the king in the budget spec/dollar segment but they have been surpassed by their sister company Orient, many microbrands such as Ratio and by many "Chinese" companies. Seiko is still a great entry point if you just want heritage and don't care about how much watch you're getting (I'd personally step up to their Presage/Prospex line). Sugess, San Martin, Watchdives, Spinnaker, and Addiesdive are a few actual "Chinese" companies that are worth looking at when it comes to homages for shockingly decent quality. Buy what you enjoy and what you'll wear. 99.9% of people don't care what's on your wrist, wear an Apple Watch and misidentify every brand outside of Rolex. It's those that are paying attention based on where you are that you have to worry about. DYOR.
