Semi jokes aside...I personally think they should have omitted the prepacked water. The Aquatabs aren't a bad touch but I think a small filter and / or more water disinfecting tabs would have been of more use than (5) 4oz bags of water which is so little it isn't even worth storing...especially since water would be required to prepare the freeze dried meals as well. You would (in theory) still be required to supply a vast majority of your own water (and that isn't counting cooking).
FWIW, you could of course make a much better kit for less but buying a kit is always preferred vs the hypothetical kit that 99.9999% of people claim they'll make some day but then never do. That hypothetical kit isn't much good in an emergency but sounds great in the comments section of a deal website
