These are great. They'd get more traction if hvac techs weren't out to scam by selling versus offering their expertise.

I'd ask that question on a Tampa FB group, might get some good leads that way.

I have 3 Turbros. Just like most of the mini splits(aside from the Japanese ones), they are Chinese brands. I bought 3 from them. Their customer service has been helpful. One of my purchases was missing a small cap. Their customer rep shipped out the piece instantly. I was also charged with foreign transaction fee by paypal. They also reimbursed the fee even though it wasn't their fault.

I installed one myself, routed the power cable from the outside unit back inside using the same port the condenser lines use

Most are major ripoff, i paid $7,000 and he left me a bunch of issues. I should have done it myself. They don't care for your home

HVAC tech here, I'd install this if I really like the customer for 1000-2000 in NY. Buying cheap like tools and vacuum pumps not worth it, don't do that guys. Also I often finding empty after previous tech (mostly r22) systems that perfectly pass pressure tests.... I don't know what to offer tho, industry has almost zero tradeoff tolerance but also mosth of "tech" are full of sh.

Man that's rough, about 3 years ago, the city started a program where these are installled for free. In NYC only, as in the five boros, not NYS. Anyway, 8y ago, had two installed and got charge 2k for the installation. A husband, wife and their middle school kid getting tools back and forth. The dd a decent job but not clean. I got to replace those first two's and waiting on a deal on MrCool with the quick connects to do the job myself. City gave me 4 units installed but need a total 8 including one in the garage

No one charges 6000 unless they misunderstood you.

I installed one myself, bought a vacuum pump off of Amazon and it worked for years until I sold the house.
