Amazon's regular S&S price for 18 mega rolls (i.e., normal sized) of Charmin Ultra Soft is $33.80, so $0.51 / 100 sheets. But right now there is also an extra 15% off S&S coupon for the mega rolls, which makes it $28.46, so $0.43 / 100 sheets.
Costco has Charmin Ultra Soft at $0.52 / 100 sheets normally, and $0.41 / 100 sheets on sale.
Costco's Kirkland toilet paper is $0.18 / 100 sheets.
So there is cheaper toilet paper out there, but this is a good deal if you need a toilet paper holder. I assume you could put regular-sized rolls on it too.
Community Reviews
Charmin Ultra Soft Forever Roll is a jumbo toilet paper starter kit that stands out for its oversized rolls and sturdy holder. The stand gets praised as heavy, stainless, and premium looking, and the paper itself is described as very soft, long lasting, and useful for households that want fewer roll changes. The main drawbacks are price and practicality, since replacement rolls can be cheaper elsewhere, the rolls are not perforated, and the huge size can feel gimmicky or awkward in damp bathrooms. It is a solid fit if you want the holder and do not mind the commercial roll format.
Common Questions (5)
Yes. The kit includes a heavy, stainless-steel stand with a thick tube and weighted base that feels premium and is worth it even on its own. It is also sturdy enough to hold regular toilet paper or other rolls.
Yes. The rolls are described as huge, even larger than standard commercial jumbo rolls, and one measurement says the sheets are 1.5 cm narrower than a normal Charmin Ultra roll. That makes the roll physically large, but the sheet width may be slightly smaller than expected.
It can be a decent buy if you want the holder, but it is usually not the cheapest toilet paper by sheet count. Costco and standard Charmin Mega rolls often work out cheaper per 100 sheets, while this kit is mainly attractive when you need the stand or cannot access Costco.
Yes. The kit can count toward a $15 P&G rebate, and some shoppers also combine Walmart cash back or Subscribe & Save to lower the effective price further. One reported total was about $14.24 after a $10 coupon, and another got the three-roll refill under $12 with Subscribe & Save.
It can fit regular rolls in the middle, and regular toilet paper does not look out of place on the stand. The downside is that swapping smaller rolls in and out may be inconvenient because the post may need to be unscrewed.

Maybe it started out as a joke, but my family loves the quality of the paper, something to consider when buying, this is charmin ultra soft. I'm not sure if I will be able to get them off it and onto a office supply jumbo roll as according to plan.

I would buy a bidet if I could. I help my parents, and no matter how much I've brought the idea up, it's a no-go for them. So toilet paper it is! The holder is perfect for the TP on HD's website, and that will last them forever in their upstairs bedroom.
