this is for the brushed motor, NOT brushless, which would be the 'Fuel' version.

This is terrible IMO. This is brushed with the old 5.0 batteries, recently the Fuel version with two 6.0 Forge batteries was $250.

How do you keep these Milwaukee batteries form failing to take a charge. I have 5 now that blink rapid red in the charger despite only having been used a few times.

If you're not in the professional business you don't need this. This is mainly for demolition. Also this model is dated. I have the one hand fuel m18 and that work for every occasion, it's not as strong as these but I'm not in that profession. Also blade is very important for any job. Don't cheap out on the right blade.

No, you won't care how heavy it is. With that said, I'd recommend you wait and get the super sawzall when it's on sale. Brushless motor, a little longer stroke, orbital action when you need it, adjustable speeds, and engineered to match the 15 amp corded model. It's heavier than this model and I never notice the weight when I use it. I think it was on sale awhile ago for $230 or so with an 8.0 forge battery. Better tools are always better to own, imo.

These are very useful but I would go with a one handed model (hackzall) unless you know you specifically need this.

Thanks but I'm past the basic diagnostics. 3-4 of my smaller M18 batteries are dead and will not charge (slow blinking red then fast blinking red). They have been charged less than 5 times total.
