This hydraulic lift table stands out for its extra lifting height, which makes it useful for tailgates, truck loading, and raising heavy items to eye level. The double scissor design and 330 pound capacity fit shop tasks like moving engines, appliances, water containers, and other bulky loads. The main concerns are build quality and practicality, with reports of rough fit and finish, weak casters, and VEVOR quality being hit or miss. The 50 inch lift claim also drew skepticism, so it looks best for buyers who need height more than premium refinement.

Common Questions (5)

  • The advertised 50-inch lift height is the main reason to choose this cart, and it is specifically useful for tailgates over 40 inches high or for getting items up to eye level. The tradeoff is that the higher lift comes with a lower 330 lb capacity and a stability concern compared with shorter carts.

  • If lift height matters most, this VEVOR is the better fit because the Franklin carts mentioned lift only about 28 to 34 inches. If capacity, proven quality, and lower cost matter more, the Harbor Freight Franklin 500 lb cart is repeatedly favored as the safer buy.

  • The cart can do the job, but reported weak points include casters, the hydraulic cylinder, and overall fit and finish. VEVOR products are also described as hit-or-miss, and recent Woot reviews for this model were called downright awful.

  • It can be enough for lighter heavy-duty tasks, but it is limiting if you regularly move items over 400 lb. One owner of 500 lb carts said they exceed that rating without issues and would not want a 330 lb limit for pinball machines, slot machines, trench diggers, or stump grinders.

  • It works best when you already have a way to get the load onto the platform, because the platform sits over 6 inches high and a small ramp may be needed. It can also be awkward over a driveway-to-garage lip and takes up significant garage space, so it is most practical for repeated use or specific lifting jobs.

For the price I would honestly go for the Franklin 500lb for $250 (regular price - occasionally on coupon) for a bit more: https://www.harborfreight.com/500...70726.html

That or the 1000lb for another $120. The quality is good on either Franklin cart but Vevor can be super hit-or-miss in my experience.

I was looking at the lifting height, the franklins have a much lower lift, 28 and 34in vs the Vevors advertised 50!? That cant be right, can it?

Agreed. I own the Harbor freight 500lb and the Husky 500lb, both just about reach tailgate height. I use them all the time to move Pinball machines, slot machines, trench digger, stump grinder, you name it, love them. I have exceeded the 500lb limit with no issues. 330lbs is useless for me, most things I move are over 400lbs. I also converted the handles to lay flat for easy storage (and required in order to get under a pinball machine). I also paid $179 I believe for the HF one (coupon), and $115 for the Husky (mark down).

That's likely where the weight limit difference comes from. Higher height would be far less stable with equal weight. Also, they look like they are built for very different purposes (warehousing vs something more aimed towards people rebuilding engines or loading material into a truck). Not to mention the "X" style jacks on one vs the scissor style jacks on the other.

That's funny, I own the Vevor for the exact opposite reason. My tailgate is over 40 inches high, and a 28 inch lift was useless for me.

I got the Franklin cart for similar reasons to save my back and always wanted one, and ended up returning it. The cart itself is solid and lifts right up to the tailgate. What i realized though that if something is so heavy that i can barely move it the cart itself becomes the problem. For one the platform sits pretty high off the ground over 6in, so i'll need a small ramp just to move things onto the lift. Secondly it rolls great in the garage on the smooth surface, but it cant get over the lip between the driveway and the garage even though it's barely 1in. Not a problem when it's unloaded but with a heavy load it's another obstacle to tackle. Third it takes up allot of space in a 2 car garage for something that will be used only once maybe twice a year, so the issue became space and usability which was the primary reason i returned it. If i come across a project where it will be needed i'll go to HF and buy it, until that day though i rather have the garage space.

I have one similar to the Vevor, and I love it. It's probably made by the same factory this one is made.

The lifting height is why I bought it. I used it to install a heavy AC unit for a relative.

I've been wanting one of these for ages due to back issues. I have a 75 gallon reef tank at home and love the idea of being able to lift up 15-20 gallon containers of water to to a gravity fed refill of the sump when I do water changes. I used to hang out a local home-brew shop/winery and we used them a lot for liquid transfers in the winery as well.

I've wanted one of these for quite some time and have been looking for a deal. I don't think this is the one. The recent reviews are downright awful!

Thanks for mentioning pinball machines as that's what I want one of these for. I had heard about the Harbor freight one being good for this. I'll have to go check it out.

I would stay away from Vevor. There are many pending lawsuits and the owner hired a contract to k$ll his warehouse people.

How do you move that box onto the lift? These type of lift is not practical unless you need to do the loading multiple times a day.

The Franklin shows a 28 and 1/4 in lift. Nowhere near my tailgate height.
