"My P1s is over 1100 hours and just got an ad5x for multi color/material. Never had any major issues with my p1s. It's an animal. (a single ams unit costs more than the whole ad5x in my country so I was like oh hell nah bambu, also the ams's been out of stock for months). With no calibration out of the box, ad5x's print quality in my experience is worse. Dimensional accuracy is also worse. After calibrating my filament (sunlu petg) the ad5x got better but I would still choose the p1s for print quality. Speed wise they are almost equal, sometimes ad5x is a little faster. Also a lot noisier due to the open design. Both asks for own fork of orca but bambu studio is just more polished with more features. Ad5x firmware and flashforge orca just need more upgrades. It's limiting.
The price of p1s combo is over twice the ad5x.
I want to end with the dialogue between me and my wife; When I got my p1s, I told my wife hey Im getting the Iphone of 3d printers. When I got my Ad5x, I told her Im getting a xiaomi/redmi/poco of 3d printers."
Great deal on the FlashForge models though.
