Great bag for drywalling tools. Fits a 14" pan and plenty of room for blades, scraper, scoop, sanding sponges, and more. I love mine.

I've passed on this more than once because the grab handles are attached to the lid only. I frequently work out of bags that I move from place to place within a building and only close the bag completely when in transit. It would be very annoying to have to snap the top shut just to carry it a few feet away and open it again, dozens of times per day. It would be even more annoying to grab the handles and have the contents of the bag spill out sideways.

Otherwise, this is the size and shape of bag I want with a rigid bottom.

Why not use the shoulder strap, without snapping the lid closed?

I just know how I use things. For a heavy bag and a short movement, it's quicker and more controlled by the handles and the visual cue of the lid being on the bag would be enough to make me think it's safe to quick grab. Nothing against shoulder straps.
