Community Reviews

These Lenny and Larry's Complete Protein Cookies are mainly discussed as a filling, portable snack with a lot of fiber and a texture that holds up well for hiking or mountain biking, and this Snickerdoodle variant is said not to melt easily. The flavor gets both praise and harsh criticism, with some calling it tasty while others say it tastes bad or like garbage. The nutrition is the biggest concern, with repeated complaints about very high sugar and poor macros, including roughly 460 to 500 calories for 16 grams of protein. A regular cookie may be the simpler choice if the protein label is not the main draw.

Regular choco chip cookie will run you 190 cals for a large one, less than what half if ine of these have. Wow.

Yeah but why is everyone conveniently ignoring the fibre content?

These are also quite hearty, so they work great as hiking or mountain biking snacks. They are super convenient to carry in a pack. This variant and some others aren't prone to melting either.

I think its time for everyone here to stick to fish and a ricecake

I get my fiber the old-fashioned way, psyllium husk capsules
Seriously though, I guess these are a really great price if you're burning the calories doing outdoorsy stuff.

A McDonald's cheeseburger legitimately has better macros than one of these.

Where can you get a McDonald's Cheeseburger that's able to pack with you on long trips and for under $0.70-$0.80?

You people will poopoo a deal thread just because it doesn't fit your cookie-cutter mentality. LMAO

Only 56% of your days sugar in one cookie.
And about 500 Cal for 16 grams worth of protein per cookie. Ridiculous.

460 calories for just 16 grams of protein is horrendous for a product that's advertised as a protein snack. shake head

but, hey, it has protein. might as well eat something healthier with less sugar, like half a tub of ice cream.

If only seafood wasn't the most expensive foods there are. Outside that trashy canned tuna.
