There have been a bunch of ebike deals making front page just recently, is this a trend of slashing prices? or is this a trend of increased promoted postings?

This is just my PERSONAL opinion - These are 'disposable' modes of transportation or recreation. While these Chinese bikes may work great 'At First', good luck getting any part that breaks after the 100+ mile mark. If you just plan on riding them during the weekend/occasionally, they may be a great purchase. However, if you want to ride them on the road and use them as actual transportation, you are better off spending the extra 1000-4000ish and getting a good Taiwanese or Japanese scooter/motorbike. But, I realize that most people will probably be getting something like this to ride around town or on trails. But for transportation? Fuhgeddaboudit

I bought a bike for $230 on ebay over a year ago I use it to go to the gym 20 minute round trip almost every day. Also I use it to go to the grocery store once or twice a week about 15 minute round trip. Also I go for a 1 hour ride sometimes. I have done zero maintenance to it. Actually, I marked it up and put duct tape in places so it looks ghetto broken so nobody steals it.
