Are you talking about the plan that includes the useless AI descriptions? Don't look at those, just stick with the $12/month or $120/year plan. AI isn't required, and not even needed. I used mine without a subscription for a while just using the sync module, but have found the subscription to be useful enough to pay for.

If you have the original sync module then this is a great deal because the basic subscription is lifetime, but these cameras are absolutely crap. Every time they do a firm update, you will have to reset because the firmware crashes during update, so it's stuck and the camera goes offline. I installed these near my roof, so every 3-4 months I will have to bring my 15 foot ladder out to do a reset. The video quality and sensors are also pretty bad as well. Often times will trigger after someone already walked by.

I paid $45 for a refurbished one 18 months ago, and I've been very happy with it. I love how easy it is to adjust the times for the light in the app on the fly. If you're looking for one, and using Blink already, go for it. I prefer this over the battery powered outdoor cameras.

I have these at my parents' house. Three of the wired floodlight cameras and five battery outdoor cameras. They keep the entire property well covered. The subscription is well worth it; stay away from the AI. It is completely useless unless you are blind. The AI tells you what you are looking at. That is all that it does. Useless.

Higher resolution sensors need much more light, which is scarce at night even with the light on. If they had the same size sensor at 720P it would look great. 1440/4K would be a grainy nightmare.

I have the pre-2020 account so does that mean I can add this to my Sync module and get free storage?
