Anyone use one of these? The only decent review video I found said the 13ah was underpowered.

The risk is with cheap battery. You really want trustworthy cells from Samsung, LG, etc

Only 15-20 miles of range? That seems strangely low, even for this price point. Real-world range is typically a good amount lower than advertised range, which doesn't really bode well for this.

I own this beast. Pretty powerful. I'm 215 pounds and 25 mph is easy to achieve. I was able to ride even faster. It's heavy. I'm happy with it. No issues with the battery. I have it since November 2025

It's difficult for me to say. I'm using it as a daily rider to get around the city (Brooklyn, NY) and I'm not doing more than maybe 10-15 miles a day. The battery is still at maybe 25% after that. Of course, when they test these scooters, they probably put a guy not even close to my weight on them and use not the maximum speed switch while driving (it has 3 position switch for the speed limits). I'm charging it at nights anyway, even if I just had 2 miles on it this day. The maximum speed goes down and I would say, after 70% of the battery charge the maximum is maybe 20 mph. But, it's a similar on other electric scooters as well. Overall, it's quick and not sensitive to bumps. But again, pretty heavy.

Also, the battery is fine (at least I didn't notice anything that could indicate a low chinese quality). It's never overheating or behaving in a weird way. I had one tire catching the nail but it was an easy fix with the repair kit (screws) they include with the scooter. I also need to replace brake pads soon (also included). With all the abuse I and my family put on this poor guy, I'm pretty happy with it. Drawbacks are only the rear turn indicators (blinkers) I would say. I had to tie zip them underneath of the rear metal fender. They are wired without any connectors so you either do what I did or cut and insulate the wiring completely. I broke them both while driving during the cold snowy winter this year. But I think, riding under such cold and harsh conditions is already an extreme for such a machine. 25 mph (or even more) is kind of crazy for the city but the power this scooter has, makes it feel nice. You can accelerate pretty fast no matter what your weight is. My wife picks up two kids (6 and 9) from school and they are all riding together on it. It still accelerates without too much of a struggle. Again, it's an extreme and I wouldn't advise it. It's just convenient instead of trying to find a spot for parking these days.

I also have a second electric scooter for the family (as a backup). It's Segway Ninebot with a 15 mph limit after the second (attached, removable) battery had to be removed due to the loose contact issue (vibration killed it). Riding this scooter is an option if I don't want to deal with Arwybon) but it's not the same smooth and powerful ride.
