for those wondering

This has the shorter 2240 NVME M.2 SSD its the half sized (half length) SSD and it cannot fit a "gumstick" size 2280. There's only 1 SSD slot.

It is actually a very good price if you can find an excellent condition. Only see a fair condition 40 miles away, wish there was a good or excellent option in area

With 16gb of ram and a 1Tb ssd, I'm honestly not concerned about upgrading either

The 16" FHD+ touchscreen is great for media and light creative work, and the Ryzen AI 7 350 should handle multitasking and everyday tasks without breaking a sweat. 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD mean you're set for speed and storage for a while.

Pulled the trigger on one categorized as "Fair" today, 30 minutes away ($500 after tax). It was a floor model, at least a year old, according to the sticker on the underside. Came in a brown mailing envelope with just the charger.

So far, so good. I haven't seen any cosmetic flaws at all. It didn't turn on without the power cord, so I plugged it in and it did, as expected. Didn't boot to Windows, though. Let it charge for a few minutes and tried again and this time it was fine.

Opened the Lenovo Vantage app and it says the battery is at 100% health (it was at 41% charge) - max charge level is the same as the original max. Also says it has only had 3 discharge cycles. Real quick glance, don't see any dead pixels.

I turned it off and am letting it charge. Still want to see if it holds a charge ok and will boot properly on battery power. I will actually be using it plugged in nearly all the time with the laptop shut (external monitor, keyboard, and mouse for work). But for now, it looks solid. I'll report back if I find any problems.

I can't find any mention of a warranty. Does open box come with the manufacturer's warranty?

According to the product page on Best Buy's website and in some searches I did, it does appear that there is a one-year warranty that applies as of when you buy the product.

The one I bought was a floor model and had that stock retail profile installed. I had to completely reset the PC - fresh Windows install - to get rid of it (other tricks didn't work) and now the Lenovo software doesn't think I have a warranty. I'll have to call them to get it reset.

I picked one up at my local store [good condition]. There was no manufacturer warranty left, as apparently it looked it was purchased in Apr 2025. [lenovo website lists manufacturer warranty ended in Apr 2026 by serial number]. When I ran the battery report, it showed almost similar usage as if it was first used in Apr 2025.... battery only went thru 4 cycles of charge though as it seemed to be plugged in most of the time. Store folks said it most likely is a store return and NOT their display model.....
Now i'm just wondering why are they selling it after almost 1 yr of return, if the original purchaser had 60-days to return.... and/or what was it doing with almost no usage/being plugged in all the time for an entire year.....
all the hardware and software diagnostics came clean..... Happy with the item so far, yet curious what the history is....

As it had only 14-day return policy and no manufacturer warranty, I purchased the 1yr subscription to "MY BEST BUY TOTAL YEARLY MEMBERSHIP" for 180$ which bumps up the return window to 60-days just in case and adds their version of extended warranty.... Any thoughts on this?
I'm thinking of cancelling this membership soon and just purchase extended warranty directly from lenovo which seems cheaper....

I'd probably cancel the BB Total and get the Lenovo warranty with ADP. Use code SRVC1309 for 15% off.
