The Glycine Airman, the first watch capable of tracking two 24-hour time zones, has been used extensively in commercial and military aviation, as well as in spaceflights; notable examples include its use by United States Air Force pilots during the Vietnam War and astronaut Pete Conrad during the Gemini 5 and Gemini 11 spaceflights.

ok then im gonna create a watch brand called Glycerine. watch costs 5000 dollars but i'll discount it 5000-4950=$50. please buy.
Sure, put a genuine Swiss Sellita SW200 movement in it or an LJP-G100 and I'll buy it, I'll buy it for $360 like this Glycine.

The pricing BS is all Invicta, but the watches themselves are still solid at the actual price they sell for. Ten years out from invicta buying them, Glycine is still a quality brand, you just need to ignore the inflated pricing stuff.

I just can't bring myself to spend that much knowing that they are now owned by Invicta. Soon the MSRP will be $8,000 on sale for $199. Just not a big fan of the super inflated MSRP marketing.
Glycine is different. They've been making watching for over 100 years. I was put off as soon as I found this out as well but later found out Invicta lets them do their own thing for the most part and most importantly, they're quality watches. Of course every watch, even a Rolex, has an artificially inflated price by the manufacturer. But unlike Invicta branded watches, these are well made and are actually worth their original MSRP.

Needs more bling bling
I don't get it. This watch seems to be a good combo quality+design+materials for the price. Why try to make it stand out any more? It's not a luxury brand so why try to make it so. It's like people putting 24" gold-tone wheels and a purple wrap on Chrysler 300 because they can't afford a Bentley. For the folks that want bling for bling sake, hop on over to aliextpress for affordable Richard Mille bling [aliexpress.us]

You're kinda right. Many manufacturers make a piece and stick in ETA or other movements and put a name on it. Nothing new.

A swiss watchmaker established in 1914.
And guess what, there are probably another hundred quality watch brands you've never heard of lol.
the amount of brands out there are ridiculous. Some loser who works in the cubicle next to me keeps bragging about his Peter Philip watch but it doesn't even have a calendar like my Casio does.

Sellita SW200-1 movement.
Wonder when they changed to SW200. They used to have a ETA2824 earlier.

ETA is owned by Swatch and supply mainly their own brands.

Beware - the Combat Sub Sport Bronze models and it seems some of the Airman models use solid CuSn8 bronze in the case whereas other Airman models including the one posted here a couple days ago are stainless steel with a bronze plating.
