I've bought two from there. No issues, shipped from NJ, and extremely quick.

If it's from the FlashForge 3D print store on AliExpress then you have nothing to worry about - and most of those AE ones are.

This is eBay, and it seems to be the official Flashforge eBay account. Appears pretty legit

Ok I must say, this is probably the best tech purchase I've made this year, which just works out of the box.
This is a great 3d printer that not just works out of the box, but also performs very well and you can grow with it. I purchased in previous deal for about $232 with tax. If you are on the fence I highly recommend this printer. I purchased for my son and he loves it. He is 8 and can use it pretty much by himself. I have over 10 years of 3D printing experience (hobbyist), and have a couple of very very very old printers. So I have a fair share of frustration and failures. But now I can safely recommend 3D printers to anyone.
PS: I am currently using my 5-7+year old filaments (kept well!) while the new ones arrive. Surprisingly I have no issues printing them. PLA and PETG has worked great so far. Will test ABS once the enclosure arrives. (purchased directly from their website since they have 20% off and NO TAX!!! LOL )

I bought the AD5M (similar printer, minus the 4 color support) for the insane $150.53 price when it was posted here in April, and I 110% agree with everything you said.

I have a similar number of years of experience in 3D printing, and this printer is revolutionary - especially for the price. I went from praying that every little setting and adjustment was just right to nearly automatic perfect prints. You still need to understand how some settings impact more exotic filament types and adjust accordingly, but for PLA or PETG, it simple to get incredible results.

The enclosure is a great idea, even for printing "safe" materials, just for the sound deadening and appearance. Also investigate if there is a Klipper mod for the AD5X, because was a game changer for me on the AD5M. These printers are the perfect balance of performance and hackability.

How does this compare to Bambu labs print quality?

I also got 1 a few weeks ago from Aliexpress. It arrived 5 days sooner than expected and has been fantastic so far. I do about 2 prints per day, with last nights print touching all 4 sides of the bed. Job took 14 hours.

Are you printing all of the enclosure pieces and doing it that way? I plan to do the cracked stone version. Will name the printer "Rocky". Rocky print well statement.

I can't comment on that since I do not have that printer. However with proper calibration and understanding slicing and how 3D printing works in general, I think this printer can achieve really really good results.IMO

Yes I'm going to print all the encloser pieces (PETG) and buy the enclosure kit (acrylic) from flashforge.
