This Skytech Azure 3 Plus is a strong midrange gaming prebuilt built around the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Radeon 9070 XT, and 32GB of DDR5. The price looks competitive against similar builds, especially versus Micro Center and Skytech's own website, and the CPU and GPU combo is hard to match for the money. The main knocks are the 1TB SSD, possible lower tier supporting parts, and a RAM spec mismatch between listings. It feels most compelling if you want these specs now and do not have a nearby Micro Center.

The CPU and GPU combo is hard to find elsewhere under about $2.1k, which supports the listed price as competitive.
late_apex
Skytech packaging reportedly arrives with zero visible shipping damage, which reduces setup risk on delivery.
late_apex
A similar Skytech configuration is reportedly priced around $2.5k on Skytech's own website, making the Walmart listing look like a discount by comparison.
FireballJR
The deal can be worthwhile if you need a ready-made system now rather than waiting for better component availability.
Nazarster

The price tracker reportedly shows the system at $1,599 since March and then posted higher today, which raises doubts about whether it is truly discounted.
unifer
The storage configuration is limited to 1TB, which can be a dealbreaker for shoppers wanting 2TB NVMe capacity.
lukersmaster
A RAM specification mismatch reportedly exists between the Walmart listing and Skytech's description, which can affect expectations for speed and RGB.
schonrph
Skytech's repair process reportedly requires sending the PC back with the data drive for diagnosis, which can be inconvenient for warranty service.

Common Questions (4)

At $1749, the 9800X3D + RX 9070XT + 32GB DDR5 combo is hard to find elsewhere under about $2.1k, and the same system is listed around $2.5k on Skytech's own site. It is also cheaper than a similar Micro Center build around $1900, though the value is less compelling if you can build near a Micro Center.
late_apex crimedog FireballJR OrangeSnake211
The deal includes only a 1TB SSD, which is the main storage drawback called out in the thread. If you want more headroom for modern games, a 2TB upgrade would be the more comfortable choice.
lukersmaster BadBimr
The Walmart listing says 32GB 6000 RGB RAM, while Skytech's description says 32GB 5600 non-RGB RAM. That mismatch means the exact memory spec may depend on which listing or configuration is shipped.
schonrph
Skytech reportedly requires the whole PC to be sent back for diagnosis and repair, including the data drive. That makes local repair or keeping your drive out of the shipment difficult unless you have a separate warranty provider.

Could I slap a 4090 in there. And would 850 watts be enough?

That's cutting it too close and leaves you no headroom.

Per the price tracker, this was $1,599 since March, and then it got posted today at a higher price - so this isn't a sale? Also, people have any thoughts about vendor's customer service/support reputation?

I have a build from them as it was the only way to get a GPU when I was looking last year, purchased through Amazon. It was hit by a power surge/brown out during a storm and started acting erratically after that. It got to the point it wouldn't stay booted for more than a few minutes, then I'd power it up a few days later and game on it for 4 hours. Made no sense. Skytech requires the PC sent back to them to diagnose/repair WITH your data drive on it. Hells no.
I had the Amazon Asurion warranty subscription already so it's covered and being repaired through them. They wanted the same, me to send it all in but I was able to talk them into letting me have it diagnosed and repaired locally at no cost to me.

If you wanted to upgrade parts on it later on, can you on your own?

Yeah. It uses standard parts. Not like dell.
