I had this unit for 1.5 years now. It does a great job at keeping my 14'x12' room cool. It has a quiet mode I use at night. You only hear the compressor for a few seconds when the unit first kicks on. It's an inverter unit, so no weird clunks or clicks from the compressor. I also keep it in always on fan mode by holding the mode button for 4 seconds.

This was the highest rated portable A/C on Costcos website. I ordered it Saturday and received it today (and I live in a rural place where Costco is 100 miles away). The box lists a weight of 80lbs, the website says 72 - so it's heavy. I will follow up with more a review after I install it.

This model does not have a heating/furnace feature, unlike the ones Costco normally offers elsewhere. Be aware.

I picked one up in Spring last year, it was so good I picked up another by the end of that summer. And honestly, at this price I'll probably get a third to replace a B&D AC unit that's on its last legs.

The thing is TALL. But if that's not an issue, then its super efficient, good controls, and best of all its "quiet" mode is actually quiet enough to sleep in the same room without any issue. (This was HUGE for my partner who's a very light sleeper)

Hard to know how many years I'll get out of it since I've only had it for a year and some change so far, but its been hands down the best experience I've had among the 6+ portable AC units I've tried from LG, Midea, B&D, etc. over the years.

How flexible is the hose? If I needed it to do a 180 and be attached a window at base level, would that work?
