If you're technically inclined, research flashing Gamma OS custom firmware to help with alleviating the cardinal snapping (joysticks) when using the stock Anbernic operating system. Check YouTube and Github.
P.S. Thanks RevOne

edit; also wanted to mention the thickness. It's not too bad, but it's about as thick as a VHS tape.
For GameCube, I use the latest version of Dolphin emulator from the Google Play Store and I'd say a good 75% of what I've tried has been solid. With PS2, I'd say roughly 70%. For the more troublesome games, I can often tweak a few things in the settings and drop it down to Native PS2 resolution to hit a stable framerate more consistently; but it's YMMV depending on the game.
I uninstalled the AetherSX2 emulator it came with by default (that project is dead) and use NetherSX2 v2.2n Net Dev Build from GitHub [github.com] (there might even be a more up-to-date version of NetherSX2 out there, I'm not sure).
I haven't tried either myself, but some people have gotten up to Wii and 3DS working on these Unisoc T820 devices. 3DS is especially limited; and I believe Wii can be hit or miss too, depending on the game - temper your expectations with those systems. Think of any games you can get working from those systems as a bonus.
Of course, there's also GameNative (lightweight PC games you own on Steam, GOG, Epic Games, and Amazon Prime Gaming), game streaming (Xbox Game Pass / GeForce Now - better w/ the 16:9 screen on the RG556 vs. the 4:3 screen on the RG406H), compatible Android games from the Play Store.
Check out the Retro Catalog [retrocatalog.com] page for a good breakdown under the Emulation Performance section (and see a few reviews on YouTube)
