I have the 4300. It's made over 4,000 beverages according to it's counter and has required almost no maintenance beyond regular rinsing and one descaling. It's not as good as a portafilter espresso maker, but it's substantially easier to use.
It takes a solid fifteen or twenty shots to first get a feel for your personal settings, especially when you change grind size. Overall, it makes espresso better than nespresso and on par with most basic starbucks beverages as long as you feed it good beans.

Our 3200 lattego is still going strong after several years, sub-$500. Also bought two 2200 lattego for $210 used like new from amazon in late 2024 - one to in laws and one is our "backup". Honestly, that model is more than sufficient. Same pump/grinder as the other models - only difference is cosmetics and more pre-programmed buttons.

I don't know what features are specific to the x400 series, but do take time to investigate the "lower" models too.

3200 lattego gang here. 6 years and it's still going strong. Best purchase ever. Average 20 shots per week every week for 6 years.

Don't buy this. They just completely revamped the series for Philips and saeco. This isn't even near the best price I've seen on this over the last few years. I imagine they will clearance these out soon.

Definitely better than Nespresso but agree with others that it could get hotter. As with all full automatics, if you're not going to do routine maintenance, don't both... They will all break or have bugs. Basic cleaning, etc is required. Nonetheless, this is not really a deal
