What is a monthly audiobook selection or monthly title?
Monthly audiobook selections are any title you select as part of your Audible Standard membership benefit. With Audible Standard membership, you can select 1 audiobook a month and grow your Library collection over time.

Monthly audiobook selections are available in your Library until you cancel. Once you cancel, you will no longer have access to titles you selected with this membership.

Hope that helps. I clarified in my original post the differences between the "Standard" plan, which is what this offer is, and the "Premium Plus" plan, which is what many of us long-term Audible deal seekers are used to. Please take time to read and understand before throwing false accusations of "wrong info."
What are you talking about? I wasn't replying to you. No one cares about Monthly audiobooks. We are talking about books purchased using a credit.

What you should have said is "Audible no longer gives you one credit per month to purchase a book. You get to pick one book and listen to it until you end your membership. Any books purchased with a credit are yours to keep even after you end your membership.".

You replied to several people and were wrong each time. The context of the discussion is THIS DEAL which is for the "standard plan". In the standard plan, you get one audio book per month, but your access stops when you no longer have membership. This is NOT the premium plus plan where you get a credit each month to select a book that is yours forever.
I've been using Audible for 20 years, so don't tell me how it works. Plus, the information is there for the reading on Audible's website.
EDIT: You may be technically correct about the word credit. But you don't get credits with this deal, so what is the point?

Of course. However, this membership deal does NOT give you credits, you do not purchase the monthly audiobook you get with this tier of membership; you borrow it. That's the whole thing I was trying to point out so people don't make the exact misunderstanding you seem to have about what this deal offers.

Audible hasn't been the same for 20 years and it changes so don't act like a know it all because you got suckered into paying it for 20 years. Audible always allowed one credit per month even with the standard plan, as recently as a year ago. They changed it to one borrowed book per month but no one pointed that out specifically. hey used the words "monthly book" (which everyone assumes is the book you get with a credit) and never mentioned the loss of credits with the standard plan. They gave the impression that books purchased with a credit were not yours to keep which I clarified as false.

Yet no one pointed out that Audible recently removed the credits for the Standard plan and that you get to BORROW one book per month. They kept calling it a "monthly book" which people assumed was one you bought with credits.

I already made a reply on how the original posts and replies should have been written to make it clear that no credits are given and if you do purchase a book using a credit, it is yours too keep.

The thing about the "no credit on this plan" is what several of us have pointed out from shortly after this deal was posted, and what I just pointed out again in the post you quoted. Not sure what you mean by "no one's pointing it out."

No one used the "no credit on this plan" statement. They kept referring to "monthly book" which no one knows about who hasn't recently used Audible.

Note that this is the STANDARD membership level, and not the "Premium Plus." The difference is that "Premium Plus" gives you 1 credit a month to use on any audiobook and you will 'keep' it unlock in your library, even if you cancel the membership later. "Standard" lets you 'select' one audiobook per month, and you can ONLY listen to it IF you maintain a membership. If you don't have a membership, then you can't listen to any books you got under "Standard." I usually get the (what is now) Premium Plus level, but Audible changed their membership levels/options some time ago and I didn't look carefully and signed up for the Standard tier. Fooled me once, Audible...
Glad I read your post first. That is a bold move from amazon. Tyvm
