Man this deal seems like an Amazon lottery or something haha. I snagged the sky blue version of this 24GB/1TB M5 MacBook Air yesterday and was delighted to see it actually shipped today for delivery tomorrow. $450 off a new retail MBA has to be a pricing error on their website I would think.

Someone grab this one while you still can! It's a great machine with a nice big display (I'm upgrading from a base 16GB/256GB M4 I bought last year and this model is actually cheaper than what I paid in 2025 for 1/3 less RAM and 1/4 of the storage!)

Thanks! Ordered one 40 mins ago or so. Matches the recent post that had the sky blue in this configuration at this price. Btw the Amazon Resale was after this deal "sold out." The deal OP posted was not Amazon resale.

Unfortunately, your skepticism is well-founded. It's not "refurb", it's used. This is a trend with many resellers.

As in, garage sale used. If a place says "refurbished" or similar, but doesn't explicitly say what they've done -- then all they've performed is a power test, a wipe down of the casing, and a system reset.

No components have been replaced, no batteries refreshed, etc. In other words, nothing has been actually refurbished.

Descriptors such as "Very Good" or "Excellent" or "Open Box" are meaningless and vague enough to suggest pretty much anything. Don't be surprised if they sneak in machines that really ought to be in a lower tier. Assume any accessories (power supply, cabling, etc) are third-party or counterfeit.

You might get a system that's a corporate lease that's been babied on a desk....or a beat-up road warrior laptop. Sight unseen. Good luck.

No that is incorrect.

I placed my order for this last night a few minutes after it went on sale. Its for a BRAND NEW SHIPPED AND SOLD BY AMAZON.

only downside for me is it will be delivered on Saturday. Worth the wait IMO

its the largest discount I've ever seen 26% for the latest Apple product that was only released a few months ago.

Only larger discounts are for iphones from Cellular providers that require 24-36 month contract agreements, in which they end up being more expensive in the long run FOR A SINGLE LINE (family plans are where the ultimate savings are). Sometimes Mint mobile offers decent deals as well.

It's an absolutely crazy deal for a brand new MacBook with the highest standard retail config specs. Mines out for delivery now!

I wanted the sky blue or silver color. Starlight 3rd and midnight dead last (fingerprint/grease magnet)
