Cole Haan Go-To Plain Toe Oxfords are dress shoes that lean best toward commuting and daily wear, with a comfortable fit and solid hold up for many pairs. The leather upper is described as crafted leather, and the shoes are praised for breaking in quickly and staying comfortable, even for wide feet in some cases. The main cautions are that the fit runs narrow for many, wide sizes can be hard to find, and the finish can look a bit plasticky. At around $60, the price feels acceptable rather than exceptional.

Common Questions (4)

  • These oxfords run narrow and may require sizing up to a Wide size for a proper fit. Wide sizes are often out of stock, so shoppers with wider feet may need to watch availability closely.

  • They can be comfortable for wide feet and may break in quickly. The main caveat is that the sole may not last very long, so they work better as everyday wear than as a long-term durability pick.

  • The upper is described as crafted leather, which can be genuine leather rather than synthetic. The listing wording does not say full-grain or top-grain leather, so the material is leather-based but not necessarily premium leather.

  • $59.97 is considered fair, but not a standout bargain for this model. The shoes are described as better suited for commuting and daily wear, and some buyers have found them much cheaper on clearance elsewhere.

you can see the cheap plastic shine to the shoe. this company has had to cut corners to drop the price. I think the new generation is not interested in these types of shoes and especially not paying $100 these days.
I beg to disagree. I work at the huge HQ campus of a Fortune 100 company and what I see is lots of these comfort, casual dress shoes, knit shoes of many colors. Not many formal dress shoes unless you're in Sales & Finance meeting clients, or vendors coming in for a meeting. Even the CEO and execs wear business casual in-office. IT and Engineering folks love their sneakers. It must be a post-Covid effect but this applies to both new and old generations.

Not a comment on the shoes or the deal: Please stop wearing brown shoes with blue pants. It is an ugly look.

I have a few pairs of Cole Haan and they are well made and really comfortable.
