Pretty neat if you want an inexpensive projector for fun but this is absolutely not going to be at the stated ANSI lumens.

Watch The Hook Up on YouTube to see his ratings for projectors and also his verification of rating claims and this brand is usually never on spec with the marketing materials. Still, this is a really good bedtime projector price-wise to throw up on the wall in bed, etc.

I have the L018, and it's one of the better budget projector I've tried, it has airplay built in which is how I use mine, I don't think many other have smart features at this price point.

I bought the 650ANSI last week, no idea if the 'lumens' meet claimed spec but I was happily using it during the day with translucent blinds closed. Projected screen about 4-1/2' side to side (no idea of the diagonal).

I lazily plopped it down on the floor in the corner of the room then aimed it at the middle of the opposite wall just so I could get started. I had no idea the automatic keystone thingy would kick it...it projected a checkerboard pattern for a few seconds, then it adjusted the screen to a near perfect 16:9 display. It was freakishly cool it happened on it's own. Also since the projector was not only projecting up at a pretty stark angle, it was diagonally as well. The amount of correction was far beyond what my old budget projector could even do half of...and that would have been a very manually process.

After that, connected youtube via wifi, that also worked pretty well. Final nail in the coffin (in a good way!) was I connected to my laptop via HDMI then emulated Mario Kart 8 for about an hour....started out just as a proof of concept but then I kept playing. No noticeable lag. I did also connect it to my Ayn Thor via USB C (also playing Mario Kart), but that did have a little lag, still very playable though. Either method playing Mario Kart, running in 1080p, looked amazing, especially with the lights dimmed the display really pops.

I don't understand their pricing. I was able to get it for $47 but they had the same model and the same seller at like 8 different prices.

Great budget projector deal! The HY300 at $29 is especially impressive.

Cheap projectors will often try to exaggerate the resolution by stating the maximum resolution that it can handle through its input, and then separately it will specify what its actual output resolution is. Very sneaky for less tech savvy consumers who don't notice the deceptive wording.

I know this isn't important to everyone, but in 2026 I just can't see buying 720p anything. It's like buying composite video cables when HDMI is only slightly more expensive.

Love the info/details. I gotta ask though, what are you using to emulate mk8?

Eden on my Thor, and Citron on my PC...I also dabble with Ryujinx on my Steam Deck but honestly I rarely if ever mess with the SD for emulation.

You?
