This is a good value for somebody who just wants a decent watch to wear as a daily driver. Simple yet beautiful dial design that can be worn with about anything, and a perfect feature set for the average person.
Eco-drive means it will charge itself off any light source (not just the sun) and the movement is about as low maintenance as it comes long term (as opposed to an automatic or quartz). The sapphire crystal is the more scratch resistant glass that usually comes with a little higher price point.
Personally, I'd probably remove the bracelet and add a leather strap.
Solid deal for a guy who just wants a solid watch to wear everyday without thinking much about it.

Sapphire glass is much more durable and scratch resistant than other materials. I personally am pretty rough on my watches so I wouldn't consider anything without sapphire. Typically you would need to spend more than $300 to get sapphire so this is a good deal.

This is a good value for somebody who just wants a decent watch to wear as a daily driver. Simple yet beautiful dial design that can be worn with about anything, and a perfect feature set for the average person.

I have this same watch and I love it! My first citizen watch and very happy with it.

Got similar model Ecodrive with sapphire watch from Citizen for more than 10 years. Visually seen the scratches on the metal case but not the sapphire glass. Love it.

I have two Seiko watches from the old days. I paid $200-$300 each.
They both have scratches on watch surfaces now. They are not sapphire glasses.
If sapphire glass protects the surface, then it is definitely worth it

Better quality, durable, good movements, scratch resistance and also water resistance to some point.
You could basically get the similar that looks like this from Chinese company for under $25. But they break often.

Someone in the thread had already mentioned the feature and overview for this watch.
This is a solid watch for everyday use.
