6mil is pretty thin for heavy duty. The harbor freight medium duty is 7mil and their heavy duty black is 9mil. FYI

Not sure how good these are, but I bought a box since I recently ran out.

I've used these a bunch for food prep and 3d resin printing. Great gloves, run small though

I like this brand. The 6 mil gloves do occasionally tear on me if I catch them on something in the engine bay, but for the most part, they hold up well. 8 mil is always preferable, but I still buy these whenever they're on sale. They're still worth it.

6 mil is good enough for general automotive work. Usually don't tear for the entire job.

4 mil on the other hand, tear very easily.

Agreed. But on sale, the Harbor Freight 9mil are the same price as these, but only a 50 pack. So if the 6mil will work for your purposes, much better deal.

TU for the post. Order with promo code to form my own opinion. The 9mil at HF are just to hand restrictive when working on small mechanical parts.

I got these back when they were last on promo and they're great. I used them for hours and hours while disassembling and cleaning all of a 1960s sewing machine by hand (toothbrush, sponges, greased lightning, WD40, etc). One set would last me multiple days and cleaning sessions. Usually I'd switch pairs not because they broke but because I felt gross using them again.
