Got my Mastens today. Very nice. The lenses don't seem to darken much, if at all, though. But I'll be keeping them.

I ordered the "Pete"'s as well and mine are indeed polarized. Have you tried the 90° test against an LED screen (laptop, for example)? It should black out.

Hoping this deal comes back again, I kinda want the Lunger's now.

I have had many pairs of Serengetis in the past. Ones made in Japan and Italy ones. Some that had polycarbonate lenses and some with the glass lenses. These are probably the nicest ones I've ever had. It is very hard to find the driving lens with polarization. And they also look very good. In addition, they are made in Italy and have glass lenses and are still fairly light. They are a steal at this price.

The Serengeti pair I bought from here a few years ago, the lens coating has slowly been coming off. As much as I like the pair, I don't like that the coating is wearing off after only about 4 years.

I bought the Masten on sale last time, and I love them so much, I'm picking up a second pair. They are much lighter and more comfortable than the serengeti avaitors that I have from 20 years ago.
