The Mini 5 Pro stands out as a compact drone with strong camera and flight performance, and the controller can be used without keeping a phone connected after initial activation. It also works offline for flying, with only occasional prompts to reconnect and reverify a DJI account login. The main drawbacks are that this listing includes only one battery, AliExpress pricing can vary by account, and order support may be thin if something goes wrong. A capable pick if you want DJI features without relying on constant internet access.
The drone can fly without an internet or cloud connection, using only the controller after activation.
The drone may only require occasional prompts to reconnect the remote and reverify the DJI account login.
The drone can be controlled exclusively through the controller without the phone reconnecting again after initial activation.
A cross-threaded propeller screw reportedly did not prevent the drone from flying well after assembly.
AliExpress pricing can vary by account, and the listing may be a scam rather than a consistent deal.
Only one battery is included, which can limit flight time unless additional batteries are purchased.
AliExpress support may be unavailable if there are problems with the order.
DJI OEM warranty coverage may not be available in the US, which can push buyers toward third-party service plans or insurance.

If you meant there's a way to disable that and keep it completely cut off from DJI's servers (while still being able to apply updates, etc...) then I'm all ears.

My main reason for purchasing X1 was due to pricing, and knowing that DJI plays a part was a win for me.
