We've had the "Ninja Professional Blender" countertop blender and it's been reliable/strong the past 8 years of almost daily use (ice cube/frozen smoothies). The only problems was requiring a replacement blade. I wouldn't need a commercial blender unless I was using it several times a day.
edit: our blender is about 1100W or 1.5HP peak and this Cuisinart is about 3.5 peak HP.

Its vortex was too chaotic to properly emulsify mayonnaise, and it required an excessive amount of scraping down—we had to stop it 15 times while making almond butter. It was also extremely loud."
