The doorbell has internal battery. You remove the doorbell and charge it with a wall charger.
This is accurate

I have the model before this and it is a POS. And their technical support is even worse!!! However, I wish I could recommend something better but I can't.
Complain to support to get your money back. I did this back when everyone realized amazon and ring were connecting with the flock and palantir systems.

don't use ring unless you want to supplement the surveillance state. Those "chinese" ones people fussed about a couple years back are safer.

I just switched to Eufy for my new home. My old house still have Ring. Eufy is much smoother and I haven't encountered disruption in service yet. Ring seem to happened to me once a month, going on about being offline. When my WiFi is perfectly fine.

Just purchased more Eufy refurbished for my first house. Going to replace all the Ring.

Reolink seems to have the most secure products. I believe I've seen one on SD recently.

"In a complaint first announced in May 2023, the Federal Trade Commission says that Ring deceived its customers by failing to restrict employees' and contractors' access to its customers' videos, using its customer videos to train algorithms without consent, and failing to implement security safeguards. These practices led to egregious violations of users' privacy. The stated failure in security safeguard implementation is the result of a 2019 data breach where the log-in credentials for 3,672 Ring camera owners were compromised, exposing log-in emails, passwords, time zones, and the names people give to specific Ring cameras. Using the log-in email and password, an intruder could access a Ring customer's home address, telephone number, and payment information, including the kind of card they have, and its last four digits and security code. An intruder could also access live camera footage from all active Ring cameras associated with an account, as well as a 30- to 60-day video history, depending on the user's cloud storage plan."
