Alexa says that phone notifications work out of the box, but if you want to have it ring inside your home that it isn't compatible with wired doorbell chimes and that you'll have to buy a Chime 2, which it says is normally $30, but right now appears to be listed on Amazon for $50.

There are a number of good subscriptions free options. Not sure why this is even on the market any more. I gave up my Gen 1 Arlos for beasus and Eufy which work great.

Will Alexa notify you? My cheap Tapo bell just rings through Alexa when someone pushes the button. Alexa will also throw the view onto the TV, (nice) and my tablet (not so nice).

Owned this product for 3 Years connected to the Arlo smarthub. The wired door bell keeps the battery almost fully charged, door bell chime works through the wired connection, and use the App for viewing, answering the doorbell remotely. So far so good!
