I use an old cooler. Some paper towels on the bottom or foil pans to collect grease and ease cleanup. You can go so far as to wrap the meat in towels and fill the dead space with more towels, but I've never had problems resting meat 4+ hours and it staying very warm. I did 6 butts once, and it held for 12 hours no problem.
Yeah, the cooler is bulky. But you could still use it as a cooler, or even mod it to be a giant sous vide cooker to get some more use out of it given the amount of space it takes up in storage.
