That Soleyin PLA absorbs moisture like no other filament I've ever seen. Like within days. Then needs to be dried like PETG at 60 - 65 for 10 - 12 hours. I got 12 rolls on a previous deal for $7 each and I still way overpaid for this junk. There was no consistence, one color would print great and another was a mess with the same settings. One spool had so many tangles and constantly got stuck that I threw 3/4 of it in the garbage, a second spool had the same issue but not as bad so I was able to use most of it. All had to be fully dried to be useful at all.

Same exact print, changed nothing, reprinted from the internal memory between fresh out of the box and dried for 12 hours at 60*. It started stringing this bad again about 4 days later and the RH of the room was 35%. Awful stuff: https://imgur.com/a/hgT66kk

I would take Bambu or PolyMaker on a good $12/roll sale over someone giving me this stuff for free.

Good deal! I got a mix of PC, ASA, ABS, and Wood filaments, for about $12 a roll on average.

Soleyin Ultra PLA does not stick to other PLA. Other than that it's okay. Just letting people know.

Second that. I believe the Soleyin Ultra PLA is actually COPE and that is why it doesn't fuse with other PLA. Also tends to warp more on bigger prints (in my experience) as well.

I got this deal April 30th, for 97.94 for 10kg of their Hyper PLA. That same Hyper PLA would be 107 today.

That said, this is still a great deal!

Yes, I got the same deal as you last time and my experience is similar. Colors are nice, but super stringy, even after drying for a while, it's still stringy. The Amazon $3 close out stuff prints better than this. Maybe at $5 a roll it would be worth the trouble.

How's their PETG? Been using PLA+ but think this pretty good to start using PETG

I concurr on the Soleyin PLA. I got 20 kg of matte black and matte grey PLA and it only prints on my A1 minis reliably. Its brittle and seems to constantly break in the H2D leading to filament feed issues mid print. I guess the A1 mini has less twists and turns before getting to the print head. In addition, its stringy and yes, it absorbs moisture like Damp-rid! A few days out and it needs to be dried.
I will not buy Soleyin PLA again.

I touched it and it instantly mummified my hand. It's true awful filament. I have a ton of it too. I've been using it for prototyping since it's basically just trash anyway.

Heck of a deal. Problem is I have a cabinet full already. Have used Creality PEtG in the past and it has printed well on my P1S and H1C.

So much bad feedback for Soleyin PLA. I haven't even heard of it. What's the advantage of using it then?

I can say it has good bed adhesion, and generally prints fine if you're doing a single color. I got a bunch at $6/roll last year so maybe it's worth it in that case, but I don't think I'd buy it again. I'd rather spend a few bucks more on something that will work for multi-color prints. Much of the Soleyin won't even stick to other Soleyin colors.

There should be a drop down menu where you can choose the material type. Hope that helps.
