Bought this last week at this price. Happy with it. Very sturdy. Pretty easy to fold up. Would buy again.

I have this, it's kinda annoying me how thin the padding is. I'm a wiry guy and the platform really digs into the back of my legs behind the knee. Using a folded up tshirt most of the time for extra padding when doing crunches. Will probably carefully remove the upholstery and add extra padding to see if that helps.

Don't do crunches. There are plenty of better exercises to replace crunches with that aren't bad for your back like crunches are.

I have had this bench for about three years. It's really great for me. I'm 5'4'' 130 pounds. It works really great for step ups and for any type of weights using a bench.

I'm assuming the black vinyl on the top is the padding and not all the way down to where the red coloring starts and ends. That does look pretty thin.

I assume there is a small layer of foam under the vinyl, it is super thin at the particular edge of my bench where the back of my legs hit, perhaps slightly misaligned? Looks easy enough to remove the existing staples to add some material to the edge and also some more foam all around before reattaching the vinyl with a staple gun. Walmart also sells similar vinyl by the yard in their sewing section. Maybe a $10 project and a half hour of work?*

*which I could have avoided if I bought something better Wink
