Or buy the Ultra 1s for the same price refurbished on Amazon. I had them all.
Community Reviews
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are best known for strong active noise cancellation and a comfortable true wireless fit, with sound that still earns praise. The Bose app is optional for basic use, though it mainly handles button, gesture, and EQ customization. The main drawbacks are reliability and convenience issues, including flaky connections, app logouts, case dependent pairing, no wireless charging, and occasional one bud or sync problems. Wind can also reduce noise cancelling performance, making them a solid ANC pick if those tradeoffs are acceptable.
Common Questions (5)
They can be flaky: some users report constant app logouts, occasional connection problems, one-bud or out-of-sync audio, and even pairing issues with seatback screens on United flights. The earbuds are still usable, but the connection experience can be inconsistent.
The noise cancelling is strong overall, but it can struggle when it's windy. For the best ANC, the QuietComfort Ultra is the newer step-up model.
The QuietComfort Ultra is the direct successor and keeps the same shape with class-leading ANC, while adding Immersive Audio, improved Bluetooth stability, and Android high-res codec support. If you want the best ANC and newer features, the Ultra is the better pick.
No. The earbuds can be paired and used like standard Bluetooth earbuds without the app. The app is mainly for customizing buttons, gestures, and EQ.
They may not connect to your phone if the charging case is dead, even when the earbuds themselves are charged. The case also has only one power light, so charge level is hard to judge, and it does not support wireless charging.
