Yes. Although these are solid, pay more for the ultra if you're an audiophile and want the best ANC.

Or buy the Ultra 1s for the same price refurbished on Amazon. I had them all.

I've been waiting for these to drop in price, and now that they have I'm surprised to see 15% 1 star reviews, and almost everyone is complaining about the app! Has the app gotten any better? Or is it still a problem?

what problem? The app constantly logs you out. All of them except the Ultra II have slight connection problems. It bugged me with my ultra I but not that much.

Also if you fly United all the earbuds have a bluetooth issues with pairing to the screen on the seats except the II. I always have to carry a dongle.

At Costco they are selling the Ultra version: Bose QuietComfort Ultra (Gen 1) for $149.97. The Costco deal is better.

The Bose app is ass, and always has been. But the thing is, you don't need the app at all to use these earbuds. Just pair them like any other bluetooth earbuds, and use the default features. The app is for customizing the buttons/gestures and EQ, which isn't important IMO.
