Purchase Details:
  1. Begin a purchase on any new car at Amazon Autos, offer applies only to eligible new cars.
  2. Finish checkout and submit your order at Amazon Autos by June 26th, 2026.
  3. Schedule a pickup appointment through Amazon Autos, you will still need to sign required documents at the dealership.
  4. Pick up your car from the dealer by June 29th, 2026.
  5. Within two (2) weeks after you pick up the vehicle from the dealership, you will receive one (1) email from Amazon, containing one (1) Amazon.com gift card. Your $1,500 credit will be on that gift card.

Despite the disappointment in this lukewarm deal, this does give me hope that some big player, like Amazon, will do something to fix the new car system.

The whole car dealership system is to me, broken, corrupt, wasteful, unpleasant, and just plain wrong. For a short time, Saturn was a shining star, and I was happy to buy two new cars from them.

I reject the idea that the price of a major purchase should depend largely on how much pain you will endure and the time and energy you are willing to expend.

It would be fun to daydream about being on a jury for a case involving a car dealership.
