It works. You have to add the provided promo code at checkout. It'll update the discounted price once you click the "Use this payment method" button.

I have the older version it's okay it's still requires a little bit of work if the soil is hard.

The newer version does not seem to accept the coupon they're both listed on the same ad.

I would suggest waiting for the newer version.. it has a few perks on the adjustability an the little more torque on the motor.. hopefully that can pull out the weeds if it doesn't rain and the soil is dry and hard..

make dang sure that you read the reviews; sort them to recent first. also take note that most of the reviews are from vine reviewers that got a free product for a good review. the very few non-vine reviews are low star reviews.

I'll stick with my Grampa's Weeder for about a third or half of the price (still shocked it costs that much now). It works in the same manner as this thing and it's pretty easy to use. This device and the Grampa's Weeder are only good for taproot type weeds like dandelions and thistles. For fibrous weeds, they'd be pretty useless and you're better off with burning or going chemical.

Just an FYI on the Vine thing, I was in that Vine program for a couple of years, and they do NOT dictate/suggest/recommend/hint at all what kind of review you give the 'free' products (not really free, just ends up being a really good discount, because you have to pay income taxes on the retail value every year, total pain in the rear honestly and it really adds up quickly when you're doing as many reviews as they require to stay in the program - I owed over $6K in taxes on the 'free' Vine stuff my last year).

I left way more negative reviews than good ones while I was part of the program (left because it was really just too much to keep up with - they DO require a high number of reviews per every 6-month period to stay in the program).

So while I get the skepticism on Vine reviews, they can be good indicators of whether the product is any good. I think the reason we don't see a lot of negative Vine reviews is, when products get a string of bad reviews, the sellers in the Vine program usually pull the product on Amazon, and the reviews disappear along with the product page (a lot of sellers also try again, relisting the product and hoping for a better Vine result).

Just based on the detail in and the way (most of) the reviews were written for this particular item, I'd trust them (well, most of them, a couple look suspiciously ChatGPT-wordy) as a fair measure of the product quality. Of course, I'd also verify that take by hunting down [same/clone] product reviews elsewhere.

I agree with this, notwithstanding my positive-ish views on the Vine reviews; I have the same manual weeder and it works fine. Not hard to use, not a lot of physical exertion required, so a battery-operated version feels like overkill.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago. I have brutal lawn conditions )hard soil, nasty weeds)and the tool works fine. It just doesn't do rocks.
