Copper clad aluminum. The core is aluminum and the copper jacket is bonded over it.
Pure copper is better. You cant do power over ethernet (POE) with this because itll generate more heat due to higher electrical resistance. More signal loss with CCA as well - generally just not as good.
So I have cat5e keystone wall plates all over my house. It's a new build and I guess that's what they installed. Do you recommend buying this? I was going to use it to cut and make my own cables to connect to my Xbox and pc in different rooms.

You would be better off buying a spool of Cat5e cable and cutting the lengths you need from that. Make sure it's solid copper, not this copper clad aluminum stuff (crap). Ask Google, but honestly, if your house is already wired for Cat5e, you won't get any benefit from using Cat6 cable. And trying to cut cca cable and putting ends on it can be a pain.... Hope this helps.
OP has disclosed that this is Copper-Clad Aluminum only to be used indoors — I'm guessing in air conditioned rooms. It is aluminum wire coated with a little bit of copper. These are not the droids we are looking for.
