The Sony Bravia 5 is a 65 inch 4K Mini LED TV that stands out for sports, streaming, and bright room viewing, with 120 hertz support and surprisingly good viewing angles. At around $600, it is described as a strong value for most homes, especially where OLED can struggle. The main caution is that brightness and processing are not top tier, and some comparisons favor the Bravia 7 or TCL QM8K at similar prices. In store availability is spotty, and display units may be missing the remote or full coverage.

Can you say the score since they paywalled it
The best way is to just use their comparison of other TVs. E.g. the tcl qm7k is better.

In for 1. Many thanks OP! For my local TN slickdealers, the Hendersonville store had 6+ of these yesterday when I picked mine up. That was the only local Costco that showed inventory.

This is the real take. The Chinese companies systematically destroy a brand by flooding with cheaper quality, lower priced items, taking over influencers and marketers and gutting the system until the real product makers have no option but to sell out. Happened to too many good products to count. The problem though is that Chinese are innovative. They can only rip off what was developed and mass produce it.

Haven't needed that site in a while but thats shitty they paywalled it 🙄
Y'all do realize that they paywalled it b/c content thieves have been using AI to scrape their reviews to curate content of their own w/o offering Rtings credit or compensation.

You can buy a remote on Ebay for a Sony TV for $10-15( max)
Dont let that make you pass on a good deal on a TV you like
Walmart sells Sony remotes in store now too.

What Sony do you recommend over this?
K-55XR80, 55XR80M2, K-55XR8B, and K-55XR70. In that order according to Consumer Reports in 55 inches.

Sony is now a Chinese owned company, which means they will now cut corners wherever possible and impossible, which is the total opposite of Japanese company. I would buy a Japanese company TV that's made in China(coz of the Japanese QC), but I won't buy from a Chinese company, stay away.

Screw Rtings. I'm astounded they recommend a TCL QM7 over this. Really??!!!?? A mid level TCL over a mid level Sony???!! I noticed a long time ago they were pushing Chinese TVs every chance they could. I wonder hoe much they are being paid? And if yiu think I'm crazy.....did you ever notice that b4 TCL and Hisense had this explosive growth Rtings used to check the longevity of Tvs? Of course they don't do it any more no one would buy these poor quality junk tvs because so many won't last!
Didn't Sony sell their Bravia and TV's to TCL?
