I don't know if this is a great deal or not, but been needing a shop vac for awhile and never researched it. Going to give this product a try, I trust slickdeals when the thumbs up score is above 10.

I have this unit. The smaller hose diameter gets debris stuck in it sometimes. Its not as powerful as some of the big vacs. For me I have a very limited storage shed to put all my tools so this was a great comprise size. Bonus fact I've had this thing for couple years and the stainless portion looks pretty clean. Most of the "stainless" stuff I have stains after a year or two. I like it.

besides the capacity, the hose diameter is wider (1 7/8") on the dewalt vs 1 1/4 on the stanley. Edit: the dewalt is also their "Stealthsonic Quiet" tech, which supposedly makes them considerably quieter than others, and is actually a bit cheaper instore ($74 at my local costco vs $80 online)

Does anyone know if these have the fuse buried in potting that you can't replace?
So if you're abuse it once and the fuse blows, you have to either get really creative to re-wire the power to the motor, or buy a new vacuum...

Stainless steel shop vacs are a no go.

Have you ever squeezed a soda can? Yeah it's like that.

Stick to plastic.

But it's 40 bucks...surely your time is worth more than that.

Never buy a stainless steel wet vac. Speaking from experience.

I have an older Shop-Vac brand that I absolutely beat to shit (and still going) but I got a Dewalt Stealthsonic for my cars because the normal shop vac decibel levels are extremely high.

I won't ever buy anything other than a Stealthsonic ever again - way quieter and just overall nice to be around.

Definitely get the Stealthsonic.

I've owned this vacuum since I bought my first home back in 2018 and I put it through hell and it's still working fine. I am waiting for the 12gal stealthsonic Costco deal to maybe come back to replace it. From cleaning my well filter to replacing toilets and vacuuming the truck it does the job.

Awesome little vacuum. Lowes carries tons of parts and attachments so it's easy to maintain. We switched to using this exact one in the house after two brand new Shark vacuums broke in less than a year. Never had an issue with this one, it cleans up everything, and has way more power than the Sharks.

This vacuum is tiny and the hose is too narrow for real use. Pass.
