Very quiet. Dumb design for holding accessories. Returned the 12 gal unit because my old vacmaster wasn't that much louder but much easier to use.

Great price. I have this and the stainless 8gal and for some reason this one is noticeably quieter. I'm not sure if it's because of the size difference or the plastic vs stainless body. I've been using this for 1 to 2hrs at a time, almost everyday and it hasn't shown any signs of wear.

I do agree that the design of the storage bag being so low is not ideal.

If you're looking for a quieter shop vac, then yes.

Just keep in mind the reason it's quieter is because they have an integrated muffler covering the exhaust. On old my old rigid shop vac, there were connections for input (suction) and exhaust (blown air) which come in handy at times. These dealt stealth sonic only a suction connection.

I have the smaller version of this DeWalt and I'm relatively happy with it.

One of the best, I love it. I bought extra attachments from dewalt, just hard to hold all of them together with small pouch they have in the back.

I think smaller tubes causes more noises on smaller vacuums.

We accidentally ran over our original attachments. I had to buy them individually. I realized how good of a deal these vacuums at Costco are when you take into account the attachments they come with.

Good points. I also n wonder if they are quieter because of a smaller motor. The 12 gal I tested pulled several amps less than my Vacmaster Beast.

I got the 12 gallon one and it is fantastic. I must say that everyone is absolutely telling the truth when they the stealthsonic is way quieter than any other shop vac I've ever used.

These are awesome. I have one and it can't be overstated how much quieter it is. If you are regularly using a shop vac this one will save your hearing.

I've owned many shopvacs and this is a nice unit that would be great as a dedicated shop/garage vac. It would thrive as part of a dust collection system. However, these are really big and not easy to move around within the house for the typical DIYer. Additionally, the contractor-grade hose is extremely stiff and fights you the entire time; therefore, not something you'll want to use cleaning out the car.

I bought the 12gal 5.5hp one for $75 from the previous deal. It's definitely quieter.

Yeah. The larger Stealthsonic vacs are quieter than the small ones. Seems counterintuitive, but it's the case. Also agree that accessory storage is a glaring flaw in an otherwise great product.
