Agreed! Added sugar is a deal breaker for me.

Love dried mango! Prefer the unsweetened kind, though; the sugar isn't needed.

Whyyy SunMaid do you add sugar to a very sugary perfect snack. Passing for this reason. Great deal though.

I bought the 24oz members mark pack from Sam's Club for 7.98. A bit less added sugar, didn't seem excessive, and it had good flavor. Not sure about the sugar used, but if you have a membership there that'll be the better deal imo.

I do prefer unsugared as well, but it's not as easy to find at a decent price. I've found some no added sugar ones at Marshall's many times, but what they have is fairly random.

Anyone else pissed about Costco changing suppliers of their "Kirkland unsweetened dried mangos"?
Used to be a Mexican product, now they've switched to Ecuador and they are not as sweet and a lot hard to chew Frown

Hate the new format, guess I won't be going to Slickdeals much anymore after almost 20 years of being on it . Just too much trouble to scroll through many many pages of pictures.

Two reasons for added sugar: 1. better taste so customers will be back for more; 2. keeps shelf life long to reduce seller's cost.
One positive note for health conscience folks: sugar comes from cane sugar, not the much worse form of high fructose core syrups.

Tried the Sam's Club ones for the first time last week. Definitely very sweet. I had to wash them off, and let them air dry. But they were very good.
