Arby's weekend BOGO sandwich coupon is drawing attention for the half pound roast beef and other hearty sandwiches, especially when the goal is a big, meat-heavy lunch. The roast beef gets the most praise for sheer portion size, and the Chicken Bacon Swiss, Greek Gyro, and French dip come up as solid picks, with Arby's sauce and curly fries framed as part of the classic experience. The main catches are that the offer is Rewards based, limited to one redemption, excludes some items like French dip and certain BBQ sandwiches, and may not appear at every location right away. Some locations only show side deals, so availability can depend on the store and the app.

The half pound roast beef is good for the sheer volume of meat on it, but it's almost too much meat for the bun and can be messy. I usually get a half pound roast beef and a French dip and pull half the meat from the half-pounder over to the French dip. Those two sandwiches are only about a 50 cents price difference near me and it seems like a good large lunch with plenty of meat for both sandwiches. A lot of people seem to like the French dip for the better bun, cheese and and au jus, so it's something to keep in mind if you haven't tried it before.

I also like the Chicken Bacon Swiss and the Turkey Bacon Ranch, but those seem relatively pricey for what you get.
My husband gets 2 of the half pound roast beef sandwiches from Arby's then he goes to the grocery store and buys a pack of buns and a bag of chips. With all that meat he can make his own roast beef sandwiches. Add some Arby's Sauce packs, some chips, an apple, 2 cookies, and a bottle of water. Now he has lunch for the week. That is some delicious cheap lunches with a BOGO coupon.
For me, there's nothing that compares with the Cordon Bleu.

what's the good value sandwich to try? never been there before but will be in vicinity of one soon!
If you have never been there then you should start with a roast beef. That is what they are known for. They have been making roast beef and curly fries since the beginning. All the other sandwiches and sides came much later. You won't find a better roast beef but you must add some Arby's Sauce and curly fries for the true experience.

You could make a rewards account and order online. I like when fast food places have both options still open. Some like McDonald's, Rally's (Checker's in some areas, etc.) are strictly app.

To me, the Arby's sauce just tastes like salt water. Horsey sauce with cold cuts tastes the best. Also, recently, I have found some chewy parts on the roast beef itself. It has turned me off every since. I will not touch any of their cold cut sandwiches with roast beef anymore.

In some they allow taxpayers to vote in businesses to their liking (and not just as customers voting with their money). Maybe it is a good thing?
I would pick nandino's over Popeyes and KFC. This is in d.c. though. Higher quality restaurants.
