Bought one for $399.97 and returned it after two days. It's okay, but nothing special. I guess it's just not for me.

Big mistake. This is one of the better powered speakers out and im sure when costco finish clearing them out this will be hard to find under $700. I had a kanto tuk which resale for $899 and this are better and more functionabke with the app. This (just like any speaker of this side) will need a sub to really make them shine

Remember, if you are doing speaker business, just start off with a price tag of $999, then 599, 499, 399, aaaand 299! There you go, now every buyer thinks they hit a great deal.

Absolutely insane deal. I got 2 pairs at $499 and price matched down to $399. All my nearby stores are out but I may go drive 4 hours tomorrow just to buy as many as possible. No idea how they can sell a $1k-$2k setup for this cheap.

Does anyone have experience with a pair of these vs a pair of SONOS ERA 100. They are similar in price right now with both on sale. My guess without hearing either is that the KEFs would sound better.

It should be pretty obvious to anybody that speakers with 4.5" drivers aren't going to be able to produce deep bass. If you know of a comparable speaker that sounds better, please let us know - that sort of information would be helpful.I thought these produced very listenable music without a subwoofer, though I was not at all surprised that adding a sub made a massive difference. The soundstage on these is quite impressive. If you're after a set of powered speakers in this type of form-factor, and willing to add a sub, I think you'd be quite happy with these. I am and I paid $500, plus another $1,100 for an open box KC62. I absolutely believe the people who say you can get great results with a $300 RSL sub or something comparable. No temptation to upgrade until the amps inside die, and I'm left with two paperweights. YMMV 😁
That's literally my exact situation. Paid $500, thought they sounded pretty good. Added an open box KC62 for $1100 and Kanto SP6HD stands and they sound incredible together. I love that they have Airplay and I can sync them up with my Homepod 2's and Sonos speakers for whole house audio.

Thank you OP! Got a pair. They had 2 pairs. As of Thursday 7pm there is one pair left at the Clackamas, Oregon store per the employee who grabbed it. If anyone is in the Portland area and wants to grab it.

That's awesome.
I have mine mounted on old Monoprice monitor arms, so they're ear level on each side of my monitor. Took a bit of finagling and ordering some no-name brackets on Amazon, but I'm quite happy with the results.
I'm a bit confused as to why there are so few off-the-shelf speaker mounts to do this. For all the "Battle Station" setups I see out there, I'd expect there to be more demand, but clearly there isn't.
Oh well, I got mine's 😀

I do. both sets were purchased less than a year. Definitly KEF.
With KEF, I can tell some details on those classical music, especially on mid-high freq range. For pop music, KEF is a little better because it is bigger.
Software wise, you can cast directly to KEF. But for Sonos, you have to use the sonos app?
The only advatange of sonos 100 is you don't need to drag a wire between two speaker -- more flexibily on placing your speaker.
