Honestly the bang for your buck is the one thing I would give Nintendo. They do not see much in sales but some of our Nintendo games have the highest number of hours played, such as Zelda BOTW and TOTK, Mariokart, Smash Brothers, and several others that have amazing replay value.

Idk id say compared to most companies they usually give you a complete game with loads of character and personality thats filled with hours of content.

Well it's been the same story with Star Fox and frankly that looks as though it will be fantastic, so it shouldn't necessarily be taken to mean anything other than select retailers may be matching the digital price on the physical version.

Nintendo IP games are so expensive for how much entertainment time you get from them.

The fact this has been $10 off multiple times before it even launched is telling.

Not really. Nintendo dropped digital copies by 10 so Walmart and Amazon are matching the price since they have cushion (and Walmart USED to sell them for 10 less anyway)

I don't know about that. Im 7 hours into pokemon ZA with my son and we are loving playing together. I think we got it for $40 including tax . Is that too expensive? Let's see. So far it's been about 5.50 per hour of enjoyment. That's a pretty good deal for bonding with my son.

The fact that Nintendo is discounting some games and not haven't raised the cost on their system before the fall (which they will) tells us they are catching up on market share.

Well look at Mario Wonder, $60, takes 10 hours to beat, IF that. Mario RPG remade, also was $60, 12 hours ish. Zelda echoes of wisdom? 15 hours. Links awakening for switch? Also 14-15 hours. Metroid Prime? 8-10 hours. All of those sit at $60, that's $4-$6/hour of entertainment, and there are others of course. I love Nintendo and their games, and have lots of fun with them, but the fact that their IP games almost never go on sale and sit at $60 forever is pretty disgusting. Obviously I'm not counting the games that are fun to replay and have extra to explore or post-completion content like Pokemon or Zelda TOTK or BOTW which are lots of fun, but admittedly also have inflated play times by making them have "unnecessary" content to beat it. Considering that going to the movies nowadays is "expensive" at $14/ticket for a 2 hour movie, if you go alone and don't get any concessions you're looking at $7/hour for entertainment, which rivals Nintendo IP prices.

Just saying, this is a deals site, and Nintendo IP being $6/hour for entertainment and never on sale is a bit expensive for entertainment time.

Reminding me of the Wii U days when they were pretty much like "Buy Mario Kart 8 and we'll give you Pikmin 3 for free!"

This is Slick Deals, sir. If you're not getting free movie tickets like the rest of us what are you even doing going to the movies.
