I am in the market for one but a lot of comments were saying the lid paint comes off. May get the other members mark one with the dual folding shelves to form a lid. That one is $250 as well and also comes with a cover.

I got my first outdoor griddle last year when Sam's kept discounting their 17" tabletop model until they were basically giving it away. It's a lot of fun, though it's missing some finishing touches like a lid and a secure place to store the gas attachment point for transport. The cooktop itself is thick and well-made, but the burners don't produce a very even heat across the surface—learning the temperature gradients has been important.

I'm curious if the flattop on this four burner model has more even heating, since that would solve my biggest problem with my tabletop griddle. I know it would solve my second-biggest problem: now that I have a 17" cooktop, I've realized how much more efficient I could be with an even bigger cooking surface! Though I do appreciate the more compact form factor of a tabletop model.
