I second the physical book if you are really interested in this. It's a joy to pick up and read on a whim, not sure the experience would be the same with the ebook version.

This is the Kindle edition. I got a great deal last year on the large paperback edition. It was a wonderful gift to give.

Who would want to look at a book about maps of all things on a 6 inch black and white screen? Check out the book samples, they're very vivid with double page spreads.
