I go to Walmart at the end of every summer and buy the half liter bottles for 25 cents each. Usually pick up a couple cases a year. I also usually buy a handful of clearance bubble machines. Man do kids 0-5 love some bubbles.

This is the only solution I have found that allows me to make bubbles bigger than your head.

They also have staying power.

Many bubbles are still going as they disappear over the skyline.
